Dr. Broome, a native of Muskogee, OK, graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in June 2002. He graduated Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University in May 1998 with a BS in Electrical Engineering with Biomedical Specialization. His post-graduate training was through the Great Plains Family Practice Residency Program in Oklahoma City. Dr. Broome is a volunteer Physician at Olivet Baptist Church and at Open Arms Free Clinic. Other activities include being a Leader of Discipleship Bible Study. He has received many honors throughout his career which include:

-Humanism in Medicine Award – Voted on by the Class of 2002 as the
student most embodying the humanistic ideals of medicine.
-Brent W. Gilson Award – outstanding 3rd year Christian Medical Student
-Robert C. Byrd Scholarship
